Nations Country Team (UNCT) is the highest level inter-agency coordination
and decision making-body in China. It is led by the United Nations
Resident Coordinator, the designated representative of the UN Secretary General

Through the UNCT, the 25 organizations coordinate their work on a broad range of issues varying from poverty reduction, sustainable development, environmental protection, climate change, HIV/AIDS, gender and issues regarding China’s vulnerable and disadvantaged groups. The UN organizations work with governmental ministries and partners, civil society and the private sector at various levels.
The United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) guides the collective work of the UN in China to help the Government of China to achieve its national development priorities.
