The Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) China received 156 proposals in the period of its ‘call for proposals’, which are 30 days, from 10th November to 10th December, 2009. All the proposals were evaluated by the National Steering Committee processed as defined in the Guidelines for the Call for Proposals in the period of one month. The National Steering Committee for SGP China approved 22 projects, including 1 from land degradation prevention focal area, 1 form reducing the impact of POPs focal area, 1 from international water protection focal area, 9 from biodiversity conservation focal area and 10 from climate change mitigation focal area.
