In China, the UN Country Team works together as part of the UN Resident Coordinator System. There are six ‘Theme Groups’ in the United Nations in China which operate in support of China’s development. These are the inter-agency bodies which plan and oversee the UN’s joint work in specific policy areas. UN China Agencies
There are currently 21 UN organizations represented in China including the Bretton Woods institutions (World Bank, IFC, and IMF). They work together as part of the UN Resident Coordinator system in order to support China in its development.
