In China, the UN Country Team works together as part of the UN Resident Coordinator System. While each Agency has programmes and projects in line with their respective mandates, the UN Country Team (composed of all Representatives of UN agencies in China) is committed to ensuring that these programmes are mutually reinforcing and provide optimal assistance to China. There are currently 21 UN organizations represented in China including the Bretton Woods institutions (World Bank, IFC, and IMF). They work together as part of the UN Resident Coordinator system in order to support China in its development.
